About this project
This primary bathroom was remodeled around a large walk-in shower with frameless glass. Gray marble-look porcelain covers the walls, with a herringbone niche, a herringbone shower floor and a linear drain.
A tiled bench runs under the window, and grab bars and a hand shower make the shower easy to use for years to come.
The vanity wall has a long white shaker double vanity with a quartz top, undermount sinks, a large black-framed mirror and a modern light bar. Plank-style porcelain tile covers the floor.

How do you waterproof a tiled shower?
Shower walls and floors get a waterproofing system before any tile goes in, with sloped floors and a proper drain, so water never reaches the framing.
Can a tub be replaced with a walk-in shower?
Yes, in many bathrooms. We check the plumbing, floor and room size first.
What is a linear drain?
A long, narrow drain along one edge of the shower. It lets the floor slope one way, which works well with large tiles and curbless or low-curb showers.
