About this project
This bathroom was rebuilt around a curbless shower: the floor runs straight into the shower with a linear drain, so there is no step and no curb to trip over.
Wood-look porcelain covers the shower walls, with a floating bench and a tall built-in niche. A single glass panel keeps the room open.
Across the room, a long floating double vanity with a stone-look top sits under two backlit oval mirrors against a textured tile wall, with a smart toilet beside the shower.

How do you waterproof a tiled shower?
Shower walls and floors get a waterproofing system before any tile goes in, with sloped floors and a proper drain, so water never reaches the framing.
Can a tub be replaced with a walk-in shower?
Yes, in many bathrooms. We check the plumbing, floor and room size first.
What is a linear drain?
A long, narrow drain along one edge of the shower. It lets the floor slope one way, which works well with large tiles and curbless or low-curb showers.
